funded by auto insurers and dedicated to reducing highway crash deaths, injuries
and property losses. The site offers vehicle ratings, safety facts, regulatory comments,

Insurance Information Institute

The I.I.I. is a non-profit founded in 1960. Utilizing its library
and insurance database, the I.I.I. handles more than 6,000 requests for information
each year. The I.I.I. also answers nearly 50,000 questions through the National
Insurance Consumer Helpline, a toll free telephone service. The I.I.I. also produces
consumer information brochures as well as studies and analysis of the property/casualty
industry and the issues it faces.
